Since 2009, Street Soccer Scotland has supported 25,000 people to create positive change in their lives.
Street Soccer Scotland is a sport for change charity using football to transform the lives of socially disadvantaged and isolated people.
It tackles a range of social issues in a holistic way through empowerment, connection, and support. It works with people experiencing poverty, homelessness, problem substance use, criminal justice, exclusion, mental health, those in the care system, those seeking asylum and those with additional support needs. Supporting both adults and young people, it runs 60 sessions a week across Scotland.
Through football and personal development programs, it builds the skills and capacity of the people it supports, fostering agency and empowering people to pursue their own goals.
Lived experience is at the heart of Street Soccer. Over 80% of its staff have lived experience of the issues the people they support face.
Since 2009 they have supported 25,000 people to create positive change in their lives.
Its mission is to create hope and opportunity for all, aiming to ensure everyone feels they belong, has networks of support, and is able to grow their confidence and skills.
Street Soccer has a vision for every person to feel happy and hopeful for the future.
